David Ames is a Partner in PwC’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice where he specializes in security program transformation, cyber security investigations and security compliance. Within those areas of focus he has significant experience with security strategy development, payment card security, data forensics, and incident response.
At PwC, David serves as the US solution lead for PwC’s global security strategy solution offering. In the strategy roll, David has formalized a standard approach for delivering business enabling, security strategies to PwC’s global client base. In addition to security strategy, David co-leads the firm’s payment security solution through the delivery of design, implementation, and payment security enhancement related services.
As an active member of the information security community, David has presented at multiple security conferences and provided security briefings to law enforcement, federal regulatory agencies, and the major payment card brands. David graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Management Information Systems and currently holds the PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications.
